The Super Market Trade Show is organized by Japan Self-Service Association, Japan’s leading association
for supermarkets since 1964, which is well accepted in the industry, and has been steadily growing year
after year. The earlier start of the event in 2008 shows how flexibly the fair organizer acts in response to
industry demands, reflecting the nature of the organizer as the association of visitors’ industries.
In 2006, strong demand from the industry prompted the association to join hands with Messe Frankfurt
Group, the worldwide trade fair organizer, to internationalize its 41st Super Market Trade Show in 2007.
The result was impressive growth in the scale of the event; in the three days from February 28 to March
2, 2007, the show was attended by 1,114 exhibitors from 35 countries/regions and 73,542 professional
buyers from supermarkets and from the food retailing industry throughout Japan. The Super Market
Trade Show made its successful re-debut as the Leading International Food and Beverage Trade Show
for Supermarkets in Asia. |
