Messe Frankfurt GmbH Corporate profile
Germany is the trade fair capital of the world, with many of the world's leading fairs taking place there each year. Among the German trade fair organizers, Messe Frankfurt exemplifies internationalism. We are the first German organizer to globalize our fairs in overseas countries: the first overseas event being Interstoff Asia held in Hong Kong in 1987. Over the course of the year, events "made by Messe Frankfurt" take place in more than 30 locations. In 2010 alone, we organized a total of 88 trade fairs, of which more than half were held outside Germany. Before, during and after the trade fair, we are attentive hosts who take excellent care of our exhibitors, visitors and guests - everywhere in the world. As the world's largest trade fair corporation with its own exhibition grounds, we can offer our customers a presence in more than 150 countries around the globe. Messe Frankfurt unites the highest quality with proximity and international orientation - at every trade fair, be it with one of our 28 global subsidiaries, over 50 international Sales Partners or at our headquarters in Frankfurt.
We are proud of our position and work hard every day to become even better. We work continuously to develop innovative trade fair concepts and constantly reinvent ourselves - without losing sight of our traditions and tried-and-true methods. Our future-oriented thinking allows us to set new trends and act as a trailblazer within the exhibition industry.
Messe Frankfurt has exported successful brands such as Ambiente, Heimtextil, Automechanika, Light + Building and ISH around the globe, thereby creating a global marketing instrument with identically high quality standards for SMEs in particular. We bring together the right people at the right time and light up the path to innovation and trends for exhibitors and visitors alike.
Over 800 years, Frankfurt has been well known for its trade fairs. In the past, traders and businesspeople met at the Römer, the famous Frankfurt city hall and plaza. Later the focus shifted to the new grounds of the Festhalle. Today the Frankfurt exhibition grounds owned by Messe Frankfurt cover 578,000 square meters. With its eleven halls and adjoining Congress Center, it is one of the largest exhibition centers in the world. Located only 15 minutes away by car from the Frankfurt International, the venue hosts some of internationally famous guest events such as the IAA motor show, the Frankfurt Book Fair and Achema, the world's largest chemistry trade fair.
